About RV Inverter
1. What is the RV Inverter and what role does it play?
Simply put, inverters are electronic devices that convert low-voltage (12, 24, 48 volts, etc.) DC to 220 volts AC. In daily life, 220 volt AC rectifier is usually used as DC current. The function of the inverter is the opposite, so it is named "Inverter". We are in a "mobile" era, mobile office, mobile communications, mobile leisure mobile entertainment. In mobile life, not only low-voltage DC power supplied by batteries or batteries is needed, but also 220 volt AC which is indispensable in daily environment. Inverter is to meet our needs in this respect.
2. According to the output waveform, how many kinds of inverters are there?
There are two kinds of inverters, sine wave inverters and square wave inverters. Sinusoidal inverters output the same or even better sinusoidal AC as our daily power grid, because it does not have electromagnetic pollution. Square-wave inverters output square-wave AC with poor quality, and the maximum of positive to negative is almost produced at the same time, which has a severe unstable impact on the load and the inverters themselves. In particular, the load capacity is poor, only 40-60% of the rated load, can not carry inductive load. If the load is too large, the third harmonic component in the square wave current will increase the capacitive current flowing into the load, and seriously damage the power filter capacitance of the load.
To deal with these shortcomings, quasi-sinusoidal wave is also called improved sinusoidal wave, modified sinusoidal wave and analog sinusoidal wave inverters. There is a time interval between the output waveform of quasi-sinusoidal wave from positive maximum to negative maximum, and the use effect has been improved. However, the waveform of quasi-sinusoidal wave is still composed of broken lines, which belongs to the category of square wave and has poor continuity. Generally speaking, sine wave inverters provide high quality AC, which can drive any kind of load, but the technical requirements and costs are also high. Quasi-sinusoidal inverters can meet most of our electricity demand, with high efficiency, low noise and low price. They are the mainstream products in the market.
3. What is "perceptual load"?
Simply put, high-power electrical appliances, such as motors, compressors, relays, fluorescent lamps and so on, are manufactured by electromagnetic induction principle. This type of product requires a much larger start-up current (about 3-7 times) than the current required to maintain normal operation. For example, a refrigerator that consumes about 100 watts of power in normal operation can start up with a power of more than 900 watts. The peak value of the back EMF voltage is much larger than the voltage that the inverters can withstand. It is easy to cause the instantaneous overload of the inverters and affect the service life of the inverters. Therefore, this kind of electrical appliances require higher power supply waveform.
4. What electrical appliances can the modified chord-wave inverters be used for?
Modified sinusoidal waves can also be divided into several kinds, from square waves which are almost the same as square waves to circular trapezoidal waves which are closer to sinusoidal waves. Only square wave is discussed here, which is also the waveform that most high frequency inverters can provide at present. This kind of modified chord wave inverters can be applied to notebook computers, TV sets, combined audio, cameras, digital cameras, printers, chargers, palm-held computers, game machines, video discs, mobile DVD, home therapeutic devices, etc. The inverters with larger output power can also be applied to small electric heating appliances such as hair dryers, electric cups, kitchen appliances and so on. But for inductive load electrical appliances such as refrigerators and electric drills, it is not suitable to use modified chord wave inverters for a long time. There are three requirements for the inverters in TV sets. First, when the TV is on, the demagnetization circuit has a great instantaneous demand for power, so the peak power of the inverters is very high. A 29-inch digital color TV consumes about 80 watts of power under normal working conditions, while the instantaneous power of starting up is as high as 1450 watts. Secondly, because the field frequency of the TV is equal to the frequency of the AC network, the frequency of the inverter output AC must be accurate. Third, inverters should not interfere with TV sets. Even if the above three conditions can be met, when the television uses quasi-sinusoidal AC, the picture will still have several fixed interference lines, and the color will be slightly greenish.
